Chapter 7-10 Summary

In chapter seven, Triock and two of his companions, Quirrel and Yeurquin, leave the village in search of the Unfettered One. Triock knows that they may not be able to make it there and that it will be dangerous but feels that it may be necessary. As they begin walking through the snow, Triock fears the path they have chosen although there are no good paths left with all the enemies in the Land. They are walking for only a few days when they are attacked by a pack of Kresh, giant yellow wolves that enjoy killing and have an insatiable appetite. They are able to kill the wolves but Yeurquin is badly injured. They continue on their way and are soon followed by another enemy that sensed the fighting that took place when the Kresh attacked Triock and his friends...
