Mrs. Hofstadter on Josephine Street is the tale of a couple who have leased a cottage for the summer. The couple goes to an employment agency to find someone to tend to the house while the man works and the woman writes. The couple insists that the employee be a man since women tend to talk too much and the couple must have quiet.
