The innkeeper of Inn Boonsboro, Hope is a beautiful, self-assured young woman except when it comes to Ryder Montgomery. When she arrives in Boonsboro, Hope is recovering from a broken love affair. She'd believed herself in love with Jonathan, and was devastated when she found out he planned to marry someone else. However, later Hope realizes she wasn't truly in love with Jonathan and that what she felt for him was minor in comparison to her love for Ryder. Hope has a close connection to the ghost of the Inn, a young woman named Eliza Ford who is actually one of Hope's ancestors. Hope isn't at all afraid and considers Eliza a friend.
