Summary

In Chapter 34, narrated by Hannah, Hannah woke up to discover that her water had broken. Despite the debilitating pain of her contractions, Hannah was happy because those pains meant her baby was on the way. Even though Hannah had insisted that she did not want pain medication she begged for medicine when the contractions became intense, but it was too late. She cried because she did not believe that she could stand to push the baby out. She noted that as soon as the baby was born, the pain subsided.
