The Death Trap Summary

The Death Trap is the story of a prince named Dimitri, who is the reigning prince of Kedaria. As the scene opens, Dimitri arrives in the outer room of his chamber where several guards are talking. The guards are obviously planning a coup and Dimitri's death at their hands is imminent. When one asks if it's necessary to kill Dimitri who is still just a boy, another says that Dimitri will eventually marry and create more heirs to the throne, meaning they'll have to kill an entire family in order to put another in his place as ruler. Dimitri dismisses the men, having apparently overheard nothing of their conversation. They leave the room and Dr. Stronetz arrives.
