Chapters 21 through 27 Summary

In chapter twenty-one, Mike accompanies those making sure that Wili is safely on his way to Paul's. Wili again makes his accusations against Mike but Kaladze interrupts, saying that Mike had gotten Wili safely in and out of the bioscience lab, not only saving him from the bobble but saving his life by getting him a long-term cure. Wili says nothing else against Mike but asks Kaladze to hold Mike for ten days, keeping both Mike and Della from making outside contacts until he has time to reach Paul. Kaladze hesitates but Mike agrees to the terms. After Mike and Kaladze return to their camp, Wili stops to consider the situation. He knows that Kaladze will not reveal the location of Paul's camp, even accidentally, to Mike and Della, and that Mike does not know where it is. Wili also knows that his life depends...
