Summary

In Chapter 71, the night it was believed Alicia was turning, she had grabbed Peter’s wrists, stopping him from pushing the blade into her. Peter had feared he had waited too late but when he looked at her eyes, he saw it was Alicia. They were calling her “The New Thing” (848). She was different from Amy because she could not hear the virals but she possessed superhuman strength.

Peter and the others traveled from Telluride after being snowed in there for 112 days. They knew they were not safe, that there were still virals.
