New York City

Noah lives and works in New York City. Much of the novel takes place in New York as Noah and Molly go all over the city during their short relationship. Noah lives on the wealthier side of Manhattan, while Molly lives on the poorer side, showing a contrast not only between each way of life but the contrast between the social classes.

Nevada

Danny Bailey and Stan Kearns go to Nevada where they plan to work undercover against a group of extremists who want to buy a nuclear weapon to kill a United States Senator. The weapon is supposed to be fake, and the extremists are supposed to be arrested after the sale, but Kearns and Danny eventually discover that the extremists are not who they are supposed to be. Molly rushes to Nevada with Noah to help Danny, but arrives just as the bomb detonates...
