Summary

Chapter 11

Noah drinks too much after Molly leaves his table. When Danny takes the stage, Noah cannot help but make light of the speaker’s arguments. When Noah accidentally speaks too loudly a quote that finishes something the speaker said, the whole room takes notice of him.

Chapter 12

Noah is invited up on the stage. Rather than ignore the jab, Noah does take the stage. Noah expresses to the crowd exactly why they will never truly be taken seriously. Noah’s speech is heard, but not taken seriously. Danny Bailey takes the stage again and continues his tirade. Noah runs into Molly’s mother just as be becomes aware of the number of cops in the crowd. Noah tries to take the woman and leave, but when someone pulls out a gun and the cops reveal themselves, Noah feels compelled to return...
