Summary

In Chapter 8, Emily was weary of Pammie and tried to stay away, but a few weeks after Christmas she went back to see her for her birthday. When Adam was in the bathroom, Pammie encouraged Emily to back off because Adam liked his space. Emily went home and told Pippa that she did not know whether Pammie was just petty and lonely, or if there was something darker going on.

In Chapter 9, Emily and Adam decided to look for an apartment together. Pammie sent Emily a text meant for Adam, saying she hoped Emily was not off cavorting. Emily did not want to ruin the excitement of apartment searching together, so she decided not to mention it to Adam.

In Chapter 10, Adam’s brother James texted Emily and they flirted a bit. They had met over Christmas and got along great.
