Summary

In Chapter 24, Millie sends an email to Julia asking what she did wrong at Lisa Hopper. Julia's response explains that there were complaints about Millie's work and her personal appearance, and that consequently, she is being let go from the temp agency. Millie writes back, stating that she had never heard such criticisms before, and that she hopes Julia will reconsider. Millie's mother calls to invite her home to St. Louis for a visit, and Millie leaves immediately.
