Summary

In Chapter 61: Jackass, Jackass, Kovthe continues to make his name known as a musician, while being unable to find Denna anywhere in Imre. Wilem comes to work at the Archives. Kovthe seeks out a meeting with Master Lorren. Kovthe purchases his copy of Theroric and Logic and apologizes for the Archives fiasco with Ambrose. The fiasco occurred terms before now. Lorren will lift Kvothe’s ban if Kvothe demonstrates patience and prudence. Ambrose files a complaint against Kvothe for writing a song about him being a jackass. The Masters require only a public letter of apology. In revenge, Ambrose purchases the Horse and Four, forcing out Kvothe. Kvothe takes on work, room, and board at Anker’s. Kvothe writes his letter of apology to Ambrose, but the letter drips with sarcasm and new verses to the jackass song.
