Summary

In the section “Open Sesame,” Kate was surprised when Sticky and Reynie told her Mr. Curtain planned to close the Institute. As they ate, a fellow Messenger invited Sticky and Reynie to eat lunch with them; but, they warned him they’d had a stomach virus they weren’t quite over yet as an excuse. Reynie and Sticky didn’t say anything to the girls, but they both were very disturbed at how the Whisperer made them feel. Constance said she was hearing Reynie talking in her mind when the next broadcast started. The children realized this meant that Mr. Curtain was able to record the sessions with the Whisperer and would soon be able to broadcast all of the time. As Reynie looked at Constance with her eyes closed, he suddenly got an idea about the last riddle sent...
