Ralph

Ralph is a young mouse who is less than a year old during the events of the story. He lives with his mother and siblings inside the knothole in Room 215. Ralph’s mother is a very nervous mouse and constantly urges Ralph and his siblings to stay inside the knothole where it is safe. Many of their mice relatives, including Ralph’s father, have died inside the hotel through accidents involving vacuums, aspirin, and wastebaskets.

Ralph’s siblings all listen to their mother, but Ralph cannot live happily inside the knothole. He is constantly defying his mother and running out of the hole into the middle of Room 215 to satisfy his curiosity. When Keith comes to stay at the Mountain View Inn, Ralph is excited because he knows that little boys leave lots of crumbs. Ralph is constantly hungry and he is always waiting for humans to drop...
