Part 4, Crazy Eddie Answers: Chapter 39 Departure Summary

Dr. Horvath blames the Admiral for loss and delay; he wants to return to the embassy ship and go back to learning about Moties. Lenin is returning to New Scotland. Horvath is finally allowed to communicate with the embassy ship that claims to have gifts to give the humans for their return. The Admiral is much against introducing anything else to his vessel. The precautions taken to avoid more miniatures on board are extensive. Added to that is the fact that he basically is ordered to not trust the aliens and gifts become problematic.

Inquiries are again made regarding the Midshipmen. The Moties continue to say they died during re-entry as their pods were consumed by the heat. The Admiral finally agrees to rendezvous and inspect the gifts. The conversation is nearly complete...
