Part Three, Chapters 16-20 and Forward Summary

In Chapter Sixteen, Mr. St. John takes Brandy for her Christmas surprise. Rachael guides Jerry and Remy to the her mother's grave at the cemetery, claiming Shay is in the grave. Mr. St. John takes Brandy to an apartment, brushes her hair and asks if she has any lipstick. He hides in the closet. Marek is on his way home, reminiscing about the sad death of his father and hoping Shay has not died alone. He knows instantly something is different about his apartment, and discovers Brandy in his bedroom. She has no idea where Mr. St. John has taken her and is as surprised to see him as he is to see her. They argue and Mr. St. John subdues him. Brandy leaves a note asking him not to come after her...
