Part Two, Chapters 1-4 Summary

Part Two takes the point of view of Rachael, Brandy's daughter and Shay's mother. In Chapter One, Mr. Binder, ancient from Rachael's point of view, asks about Bar Double M and Brandy. She shares her candy with a boy. Rachael arrives home to her twin brothers fighting, and Brandy asks if Rachael has trouble at school because of her crazy mother. Rachael says no, lying, and mentions a boy she would like to have over for dinner.

In Chapter Two, Dan and Rachael pick Jerry Garrett up for dinner at the ranch. Shay is surprised to meet her father as a child.
