Summary

Nellie and Lawrence's daughter Lolly comes to visit the family in Chapter 10. She accuses her parents of treating Edward like a real baby. She has also heard neighbors and other people in the town gossiping about how Nellie and Lawrence treat Edward. Lolly spends the night with her parents, which causes them to not complete their nightly routine with Edward. In the morning, Lolly wakes before her parents and goes to see Edward. She takes Edward out to the trash can and stuffs him in before putting the can on Lawrence's truck. Lolly tells Nellie that she is going out to do some errands as she heads out toward the town dump.
