Wheelchair

Stef has been confined to a wheelchair since he was shot in the back by the Grave Dancer, Alexandre St.-Germain.

Speed racer

Stef has a special wheelchair, a speed racer, that allows him to participate in races with other people also confined to wheelchairs. Stef feels more like himself when he is racing.

The Midnight Club

The Midnight Club is a group of organized crime officials who ban together to create an organization in order to slim line their crimes and make them more efficient as well as more profitable. Alexandre St.-Germain is the mastermind behind this organization.

Diamond and Onyx Ring

When Alexandre St.-Germain's body double is murdered, one of the things Stef notices about the body is the diamond and onyx ring on his finger. Later the reader learns that this ring denotes him as a member of the Midnight Club.
