Bear Kupchek has been contacted by an informant who tells him he has information that could crack the St.-Germain case wide open. Bear is to meet this person in Central Park. Bear has lived in New York all his life and knows that Central Park was once a place to fear at night, but no longer feels that fear since the park has been cleaned up.
