Summary

Chapter Forty-Five

It was mid-morning when Minho and Thomas returned to the Glade. They had been in the Maze for twenty-four hours. Newt met them and told them that they were the first Runners to return. They reported that they had found nothing. The Grievers came to the Glade the night before. They took a boy named Adam. Minho was upset – at the Grievers taking Adam and at the fact that there were no exits, no way out. If Minho gave up they were all in trouble.

None of the Runners found anything new and discovered no exits. The Code was their only hope. Teresa spoke in his mind – she thought they had the Code figured out. He told her to meet him in the Map Room right away. Minho didn’t show up at the Map Room. Newt figured he was sulking...
