Chapters Nine and Ten Summary

Buck wakes in Chicago on the day after rescuing Zeke to discover that most of those at the safe house are asleep. Chaim is studying and Tsion is writing. Tsion produces articles that are posted online for those wishing to learn more about Christianity. Tsion and Buck talk briefly about Hattie's rescue and Buck indicates that he believes Hattie could be a "lost cause." Tsion points out that they were all lost not so long ago and that they should never give up. Tsion says that Zeke is "clearly not a churchgoing boy," shy and uneducated. He says that it would take Zeke the next three and a half years to read one of the books Chaim will finish by tomorrow, but that he's a genius with the "technical stuff."
