Summary

As Ibn Hakim starts to wake up, the workers at the factory help Rawiya and Khaldun escape. They carry Bakr’s body to the expedition and run for many days before they are able to bury him near the nile. However, after two weeks of terrible weather, they are confronted by some Almohad troops who believe that the expedition are Fatima spies. Their leader, Mennad, says the expedition will all die in combat as he confiscates everything, including al-Idrisi’s book for King Roger.
