Chapter 11 Summary

Charles called for Moxie when he got home. He didn't run to him when he called him as he usually did. Charles looked for him and found him bleeding and unable to move his back legs. Charles called several vets and finally found one who said to bring the cat over. He called McLeod but there was no answer. There were only a few neighbors who had cars at their summer places. He couldn't locate anyone with a car. He looked in all the rooms for his mother's telephone book that contained more numbers for him to try. Then he heard a noise coming from his room.
