Giovanna's Home

Giovanna's home is located in Pascone, in the highest part of Naples. Giovanna lives here with her parents, Andrea and Nella until she is 13. When the family discovers the truth of Andrea's longtime affair with Costanza, Andrea moves out. Nella and Giovanna continue living in the house by themselves. All of Andrea's belongings remain, as Nella forbids Andrea to take even a single book from the house. The house is the place where Giovanna spends much of her time, locked in her room reading novels, or examining her body in front of the mirror.
