Summary

The second section of the novel is titled Rule Two: Stick to Your Story. Chapter 14 opens with the four women climbing from the water after spending a lot of time talking about their memories. Fatima and Isa are obviously very tired and ready for bed, but they all want to know why Kate called on them. Back in the house, she shows them a newspaper with a headline declaring that a human bone has been discovered.

In Chapter 15, Fatima curses. Thea slams her glass onto the table, shattering it and cutting her hand.
