The School

The school in Colombia is where many of the collection's main characters meet. Stephanie from "Lucky," the Professor from "Lemon Pie," Mariela and Martin from "M+M," the girls from "Siberian Tiger Park," La Flaca from "Honey Bunny," and Betsy from "Beyond the Cake" all attend the same school as children, and are haunted by their memories from their school days. In this way, the school becomes a symbolic setting of a time before the Colombian crisis.
