Summary

In Chapter 17, Tsunami discovers the cave is flooding and the dragons have piled on top of each other with Clay on the bottom. They have not left because Clay is chained and the others refuse to leave him. Glory's response is “icy” as she says “The SeaWing princess has time for us all of a sudden” (135). Sunny says she was “pretty sure” Tsunami would come or them, but expected her sooner. Tsunami is shocked and furious to see chains on each of Clay's feet. She tries to excuse Coral, thinking Shark may have done it. Tsunami hands the egg and harness off to Sunny because SandWings give off heat naturally. Sunny is pleased with the important responsibility. Clay's stomach growls and Tsunami is shocked again to discover all they have had to eat are the leftovers from Coral's breakfast.
