Part 3: Chapters 48-56 Summary

In Chapter 48, Alyss is in the Looking Glass Maze. Alyss is taken through a confusing collection of corridors and hallways by one of her reflections and left alone. Alyss's parents show up in the looking glasses and give her words of encouragement. Then a seven year old version of Alyss engages her in a game of tag. Afterward, the younger Alyss shows her a white scepter and tells her to get it. Before Alyss can reach it, she is shown a jumble of scenes showing her friends in danger and old acquaintances laughing at her. As Alyss moves on, she is placed back in the dining room where Justice Anders' was killed and forced to watch her mother's murder. This outrages Alyss and she finds herself in a room with Redd. Alyss embraces her rage and kills Redd only...
