Part 3: Chapters 42-47 Summary

In Chapter 42, Alyss and her friends walk across the Volcanic Plains and nearly come face to face with a jabberwocky after being caught up in a small landslide. With Hatter's help, they manage to get away and quickly make their way out of the Volcanic Plains.

In Chapter 43, Alyss and her friends stop for the night. Bibwit wants to work on Alyss's lessons, but falls asleep. However, Alyss cannot sleep. Alyss lays by the fire and begins working on her imagination, slowly not only remembering how to use it, but building a control over it she never had before.

In Chapter 44, Redd pulls a curl from Jack of Diamond's wig and turns it into a Wig Beast that begins to beat him for his betrayal of Redd. To stop the beating, Jack of Diamonds tells Redd that Alyss and...
