Shortly after their marriage, Ira and Ruth buy an old Victorian home that they renovate themselves in the first years of their life together. Ira continues to live in this house until his death. It is also here that Ira brings the art collection after Ruth’s death even though there is not enough room in the house to display them all.

Wake Forest College is where Sophia attends college. Sophia lives in a sorority house near the campus and shares a room with her friend, Marcia. This is where Luke often comes to pick Sophia up for their dates. It is also outside of the sorority house where Brian attempts to beat up Luke for Luke’s actions the night he and Sophia first met.
