Matthew Venn

Matthew, who is married to Jonathan, is the narrative's protagonist and the detective who is in charge of finding Simon's killer. Ross and Jen are key members of his team. Dorothy is his mother, and Oldham is his boss. Dennis Salter served as Matthew's mentor when Matthew was younger.
