Summary

Chapter 25 takes place a day earlier. Sasha goes swimming and then to work where she finds Anna and Grace. When the plan is over, Sasha drops Grace off at the house on Mortimer Street. Something about the house seems familiar. She thinks about what has transpired and how Anna’s debt is now paid. She thinks about leaving Florida, even though she never has.

Chapter 26 begins with Gavin waking up with a headache. He calls and tells Eilo he isn’t coming into work. Later in the day he discovers an article on the local newspaper website about a body being found behind the Starlight diner. He remembers Deval’s hands shaking.

Chapter 27 finds Sasha stopping again for lottery tickets and arriving at the diner to find police tape. Bianca tells her that a drug dealer from Utah was killed out back...
