Prison

Mike tells his story from prison where he has spent the past nine years. Prison is the setting of the first and last chapters in this novel. For his crimes, Mike has been sentenced to 10-25 years, but he is hoping to be released after 10 years.

Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania is where Mike goes to meet the Blue Crew for his first real job in September, 1999. They rob a safe in the suburbs of Philadelphia, and then, the Blue Crew takes Mike to New York City so he can acquire a fake ID.

Milford, Michigan

Milford, Michigan is where Mike moves with Uncle Lito after June 1990. Mike lives in the back room of Lito's liquor store until age 17 when he leaves home to work as a boxman.
