Lucy

Lucy is the narrator of the whole story and we see the events from her perspective. She is a young woman from Manhattan, New York who initially aspires to go into advertising after graduating college but then decides she wants to do something more meaningful with her life after the attack on the Twin Towers. She ends up working as a producer for several children’s TV shows such as It Takes a Galaxy which is about aliens, and Rocket Through Time which aims to help children learn about history. She is very good at her job and gets promoted several times over the course of the novel. Through her TV shows, she wants to teach children life lessons, and to be more accepting and caring of each other.
