Summary

Chapter 25 begins at the end of the summer. Lucy wakes up to find a strange man asleep on the couch. She is not surprised as Kate’s friend Sabrina often has people over who end up sleeping on the couch or floor even. She puts a bikini on and goes to the kitchen to make coffee. Ever since Gabe left, she cannot stay in bed once she has woken up; it makes her too sad. The man wakes up and comes into the kitchen, greeting Lucy with a cheesy pick-up line calling her a “coffee angel” (103). He introduces himself and Lucy tells him her name and gives him some coffee.
