Summary

Chapter 4 is titled “The Sepulchral Cavern.” Dr. Noah Jacklers arrives to escort the family to the excavation site. He is clearly surprised when he is introduced to Faith and she knows it is because so many people read the story of how she found a fossil when she was seven, and that she is now a teenager. They arrive at the site and meet the others involved. Clay found the site when his dog fell down a shaft. Anthony Lambent owns the property but his answer is to hurriedly blast through walls in the hope of a bigger find. Dr. Jacklers is well read and is more knowledgeable than the others.
