Summary

A few days after Father’s funeral, James closed his eyes and refused to open them. The school principal soon sent James home. Mother brought him home and comforted him. James eventually opened his eyes. He wept and hugged Mother, and they reconciled. James states that his mother is not only disturbed by the fact that he habitually lies, but especially because the lies because of the usually morbid nature. His mother does a substantial amount of volunteer work for charities. James’ mother and siblings all enjoy striving to make the world a better place.
