Chapters 13 and 14 Summary

The Titan Prometheus meets with percy and offers him terms of surrender. He tells Percy that they can not hope to defeat the Titans, and that if they continue to resist, they will all die and Olympus will still be destroyed. He tells Percy that if he surrenders he and all the survivors will be spared. He will also grant them another great advancement, one that the gods would not let them achieve on their own. Percy counter offers that if Kronos will surrender, and return to Tartarus, that Percy promises not to destroy him. Prometheus gives Percy Pandora's box, which is really a pithos.
