Summary

The first frame of page 11 shows Valerian and Laureline in the skiff. They know they have arrived inside a “hollow planet” (11). They realize Zahir's core is also the planet's sun, and there is a moon orbiting it. They plan to land the skiff into a shaded area but see a house being carried by some sort of strange animals and know Zahir is inhabited. As they watch, they see one of the houses about to fall into a cavern. Laureline says they have to help and Valerian agrees, saying it will give the planet's inhabitants a positive image of the visitors. Valerian maneuvers the ship as the people pull on ropes, shouting in a strange language. Once the house is safe, Valerian says they will land. Laureline says the “automatic translators” have already picked up enough of the language to translate for them...
