Chapter Fourteen Summary

As Chapter Fourteen opens Logan has called Eve. He is upset that she hasn't kept him informed and he had to read of Debby Jordan's body being found in the newspaper. He asks to come to the house and be in on the case and Eve refuses. He knows Joe is there and he is angry that Eve is leaving him out. After he hangs up, Joe tells her that Logan won't win her because he doesn't want her enough to do anything to get her. Eve is Joe's center and he is determined that she will be his. They go to a Mexican food stand near a school for lunch.

As Eve and Joe sat on the bench eating the Mexican food, Dom was watching. He thought Eve had some hope. She probably thought things were going to be better...
