Chapter Eight Summary

Chapter Eight begins with one of the social workers trying to get Jane to open up and talk about Fay. Jane doesn't like the sound of her voice. She doesn't want to talk anyway. The lady needs to leave her alone. Jane wants some answers which the woman won't give. Jane is worried about Mike and his missing any food because she can't get to him.
