Section V, ch. 11-13 Summary

Anita dresses and goes to the meeting where she greets Rafael, the Rat King. The meeting is called because Marcus wants to unify all of the lycanthropes under one leader: him. Marcus has a tendency to kill what he cannot control. Richard wants Anita to sit with him, assuring Sylvie that it is not a challenge to her position within the lukoi. When Sylvie asks Stephen who saved him, Stephen says Anita saved him and even made him sleep against the wall so that she could protect him. The energy levels in the room rise, and Sylvie grabs Anita, threatening to make her Richard's mate in form. Richard threatens to hurt Sylvie while Anita threatens to kill her.
