Part 1, A Curse; Chapter's 7-9 Summary and Analysis

The last three chapter's in Part I completes the basic plot for the entire book; and sets up the stream of events that occupy the rest of the narrative.

Chapter Seven, "The Tower of Love," sees the young equerry-courtiers Philippe of Aunay and Gautier (his brother) traveling across the Seine river on a boat poled by an old man.
