Summary

In Chapter 1, Luke lied and told Tim his name was Nicky Wilholm. He asked Tim if the other man who had been with Tim had said anything about being his uncle. When Annie joined Tim and Luke, Luke asked if she had been sent to wait for him. Tim noticed his fixation.

In Chapter 2, when Annie used a wet washcloth to clean the blood from Luke’s face he began crying because it reminded him of his mother. Annie did not seem surprised when Luke said his parents had been murdered when he was kidnapped. She asked if the kidnappers had come in black cars and if they were doing experiments on him.

In Chapter 3, Tim thought it was unusual that Norbert was hanging around the train station but did not pay a good deal of attention to him.
