In Chapter 17, Steele is worried. He trusts Albie with his life but worries about going to Palwaukee and stranding Tsion and Kenny.

Buck calls Hassid. Hassid speaks to Albie and gives him a code that will get him and the others past the GC at the airport.

Hassid meets Ming's father. The man is enraged because Hassid did not meet him at the airport.

Steele arrives in Palwaukee. The group argues over what to do next. Steele says they must trust Albie.

Hassid takes the Wong family to their seats. Mr. Wong continues to chastise Hassid for rude behavior. Wong insists on sitting while all others stand. The funeral procession begins. Hassid watches as his fellow believers weep.
