Summary

Chapter 25 is titled “Katie.” The situation at breakfast is tense. Miranda suddenly says that Katie must have a new boyfriend. Katie denies it, saying she is too busy at work. Katie notes that Miranda had barely gotten through Oxford and was the only one of the group who had not pursued a lucrative career. When Samira and Giles arrive, Samira says the baby woke them very early. Miranda makes a catty comment about a person who makes a choice to have a child. As they are preparing to go out hunting, Mark assumes Nick and Bo will decline. Nick forces him to say he has that opinion because they are gay, and Katie says that it truly sounds ridiculous then.
