Summary

Moyna: Nilima tells Kanai that Moyna will take him on a tour of the hospital, and admits that she had not realized for many years that Moyna was married to Kusum’s son, but was happy to know he had survived the massacre that killed his mother. However, she does not think they are well suited as Moyna is bright and ambitious while Fokir can, “neither read nor write” (129).
