Summary

The chapter opens with Sebastian thinking about how Bucky made the first geoscope in 1951. Sebastian then goes down for breakfast. While downstairs, Nana notices a twig in Sebastian’s hair and picks it out. She tells him that she saw Sebastian outside with a stick and claimed that he relishes the time he is without her. The two begin painting the geoscope and Sebastian begins making vocal noises as an imitation of a punk song, which confuses Nana. Suddenly, Janice appears at the door and tells Sebastian that Jared wants to apologize for the youth group incident. Janice leaves the two alone. Sebastian asks him to teach him how to play bass, and Jared gives him some guitar tablature.
