In Chapter 8: The Eejit In The Dry Field, Matt excitedly chatters about everything he sees as he rides through the poppy fields with Tam Lin. When they reach the hills that border the fields, they dismount and walk the rest of the way to a small valley with a pool of water in its center. Tam Lin explains that Matt is El Patron's clone; skin had been taken from El Patron and grown into a new baby, so Matt is exactly like El Patron when he was seven years old.
